Spring/Summer

Slip into your flip-flops and grab a book. When you’re staying at our resort with a beach, a quick stroll along the harbor sidewalk will bring you to our beautiful sandy Weekapaug Beach. Two miles of pristine beach are just over the dune! Halfway along the boardwalk and there’s the first glimpse of ocean – that’s Block Island on the horizon, framed like a poster between wild beach roses. Another twenty yards and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean unfold. To the left, sandy beach stretches on for close to two miles without a building in sight. Watch the gulls and hear them call. Let the rhythm of the waves slow your heartbeat and awaken your senses. It’s time to relax and let the world go by. It’s a beach experience like no other!

Winter Beach at a Beach Resort close to Boston, MA

Fall/Winter

The winter beach in Rhode Island is a wonderful and sometimes unappreciated resource. Winter sand is firm underfoot, which makes for great walking. On clear days, sunshine reflects off the ocean and adds unexpected warmth. Set off down the beach at a smart pace and soon you will be shedding layers and feeling exhilarated. The lower half of the beach is always free of snow and ice – even the morning after a snowfall – and so oftentimes guests ski along the upper beach, while companions walk in sneakers along the hard dry sand closer to the tideline.

The Bathhouse is our summertime gateway to the beach. Situated just behind the dunes, it offers convenient access to all the amenities you need for a great day by the water. There are beautiful bathrooms and roomy storage lockers, freshly laundered beach towels along with premium beach chairs and umbrellas, and cheerful attendants who shuttle the equipment to the beach and set it up at whatever spot feels just right to you. The concession counter serves snacks, beverages and lunch items for you to take to the beach or enjoy on the beautiful back deck, where beer and wine are also served.

An added bonus, arrive early for a day at the beach and make the Bathhouse your base until your room is ready. On checkout day, the Bathhouse amenities allow you to stretch your beach relaxation through the full afternoon in comfort. If you depart directly from the beach, you will appreciate the four lovely showers facilities complete with shampoos, body washes, fresh towels and dryers.
