Located on the Rhode Island shoreline overlooking Quonochontaug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean just beyond, Weekapaug Inn offers quintessentially New England accommodations that effortlessly combine casual comfort and luxurious furnishings. Farm-to-table dining utilizes the finest and freshest locally sourced ingredients, and inspired amenities and resort activities are designed to create extraordinary guest experiences.
Originally built in 1899 and again in 1939 following the Hurricane of 1938, our historic inn underwent a $20 million renovation in 2012 that preserves our storied past while offering guests a wealth of modern conveniences. In January 2013, just three months after opening, the Inn was invited into Relais & Châteaux, an association that sets the world standard for excellence in hospitality.
Inspired By Classic Cape Cod Style
The exterior is covered in red cedar shingles, accented by dark brown trim and red shutters. The Weekapaug Inn in Westerly, Rhode Island features 31 guest rooms, including four two-bedroom Signature Suites, boasting modern Yankee décor, marble-accented bathrooms, feather-top beds and luxury linens. Generous indoor and outdoor function spaces offer flexible venues for private gatherings, business conferences, board meetings and magical weddings.
Dining at the Inn is a farm-to-table affair. Inspired by the coastal traditions of New England, The Restaurant, the Inn’s main dining venue, offers comfortably elegant dishes that highlight the best in seasonal, locally raised and harvested produce.
Guest Rooms & Suites
In restoring and updating the old inn, the architects took great care to ensure the rooms were spacious, private and comfortable. Each room offers a unique view, room layout and furnishings. This is in the tradition of the original Inn, where even today, former guests and their descendants fondly remember the location and views of the rooms they insisted on returning to each year.
In the spirit of each room’s uniqueness, designer and long-time Weekapaug resident Nancy Taylor selected a distinct textile pattern for the sewn and upholstered pieces in each guest room, ensuring that every room has been fitted with a vintage piece from the old Inn and a selection of modern pieces.
